This is the only national museum devoted to this subject matter. You could see funeral hearses of Imperial, Gothic and French style. Entrance is free.


AIR-RAID SHELTER 307

This air-raid shelter was used during the Spanish Civil War and it had water, electricity, an infirmary, a chimney, etc. With more than 200 square meters under the ground, it was one of the biggest of Poble-sec. You can visit it individually or in groups. The visit includes a video projection.


LABYRINTH D’HORTA

In this neoclassical garden dating back to the eighteenth century, you can find the labyrinth that gives name to the park. Not only is it the oldest garden in the city, but it might be one of the most singular in Barcelona. You will need to pay a small entrance fee, but its beauty and peace are really worth the time and money.

Located in Palau Mornau, it is a very interesting space of 900 m2 where it is possible to learn the great range of therapeutic and industrial uses of the hemp’s plant.

It is also known also as the “Vell” (Old) or “de l’Est” (Of the East) and it is the first cemetery of the city where daytime and night visits are organized through the different burial places and the important people that are buried there.


THE DAMM BREWERY (LA BOHÈMIA)

In 1876 August K. Damm founded the Damm Beer Brewery in Barcelona. Years later, he had the Bohème factory built, now a centennial building which forms part of the architectonical heritage of the Sagrada Familia. Nowadays it is used as a museum, with an exhibit that covers the Brand’s 130 years: carriages, photographs, posters, boilers… It is open to the public on Wednesdays’ afternoon, a previous reservation is needed calling the following number: 902 300 125.

Its stage is dedicated only to magic shows, every week from Thursday to Sunday. The parts of this museum come from the Tienda del Rey de la Magia in Princesa street, founded in 1881. It is recommended to visit it from Tuesday to Sunday!

PARC DEL FÓRUM

This park occupies more than 30000 square meters and it is used occasionally to organize fairs, festivals or parties. In the midst of the park there is a solar panel that supplies energy not only to the park, but also to more than a thousand apartments nearby.
