Little Barcelona
Barceloneta is a diminutive of Barcelona, coined no doubt, by those living nearby to distinguish this area from that of the walled city-centre. Construction in the neighbourhood of the Barceloneta began towards the eighteen century on land reclaimed from the sea thanks to the breakwater built in 1477 to link up the city with the island of Maians.

LA COVA FUMADA carrer del Baluart, 56 Phone 932 214 061 Tiny but very attractive joint. On top of preparing the most original “bombas” in the city, their house wine is excellent and you can enjoy fish tapas and their specialty garbanzo tapas.
