Devoted and selfless
The name of this saint, also named Saint Rosa Lima, was Isabel Flores de Oliva. She was born in Lima (Peru) in 1586 of a spanish father and a peruvian mother. They say, she was seeing things that urged her to follow the religious life and she helped sick people and the needy, whom she brought to her house to take care of them. In this case, the name Santa Rosa refers to one of the four districts that occupy the sierra of Mena, at the border between the towns of Badalona and Santa Coloma de Gramenet.

Places of Interest
Since the idea is to continue building a nicer town of Santa Coloma, with outsanding buildings and more green areas, it is planned to extend the garden of Balandrau and to adjust the ancestral homes of the streets Sardana , Roger de Llúria, Àngel Guimerà and Monturiol. The project includes the opening of this garden and to connect it with the urban area near the river and to provide the access also to the new square of les Cultures, to the pétanque’s court and to the boulevard in the left side of the river.
