A centuries-old stream
In a document that dates back to 1210, there is already mention of a stream by the name of Bogatell at the mouth of the Rec Comtal, within the municipal district of Sant Martí de Provençals, an area of marshes that until the eighteenth century was practically uninhabitable. Presently this area is part of the new 22@ district (1), and intends to be an alternative to the old nucleus and become a new economic area.

LA NOVA ICÀRIA PARK

It is known as Parque de los Puentes and it belonged to a green area that includes many parks from the Barceloneta to Diagonal Mar area. In the park there is a lake whose perimeter corresponds to the size of Icaria island. It is surrounded by hills with a lot of vegetation. It is an ideal place to relax and get out from the noisy Litoral road.
