The colony that was given up
The district we all know today was born and develop with the arrival of the immigrants’ waves in the XX century, among which those of 1920 and 1960 are the most important. The first workers started to settle down in the mountain of Samontà, but the large increase of the population lead to the formation of huts’ districts and make the caves be full.
