El nombre del barrio de Sant Ildefons es otro ejemplo de topónimo formado por extensión del nombre de una iglesia. San Ildefonso nació en Toledo en el 607, en el seno de una familia visigoda. Llegó a ser arzobispo de la capital de España, que por aquel entonces era Toledo, en el 657, cargo que ostentó hasta su muerte en el 667.

Torre del S.XIX de estilo neomudéjar y planta octogonal que Arnau Mercader (comte de Bell-Lloc) mandó edificar muy cerca de su palacio para usarla como mirador de pájaros y observatorio astronómico. Por la noche, iluminada, tiene un aspecto muy especial.
El sábado por la mañana, delante del Mercado Municipal, se monta un mercadillo donde podréis encontrar música, discos nuevos y viejos, libros, revistas, etc… una opción diferente para el fin de semana, y sin tener que gastar mucho.

Arnau Mercader commissioned the building of this tower very near his palace so he could use it as a bird watch tower and an astronomical observatory. It’s shaped with an octagonal plant and has Mudéjar influences.
On Saturday morning, in front of the Municipal Market, a market is set up where you can find music, new and old records, books, magazines, etc … a different option for the weekend, and without having to spend a lot.

El nom d’aquesta parada ve donat, un cop més, per l’església edificada a la rodalia de la zona, en aquest cas la de Sant Ildefons. Ildefons, que més tard esdevindria sant, va néixer en una família de visigots, a Toledocap a l’any 607. En aquell moment Toledo era la capital d’Espanya i ell va arribar a ser-ne l’arquebisbe l’any 657 i fins a la seva mort, l’any 667.

El dissabte al matí, davant del Mercat Municipal, es munta un mercat ambulant on podreu trobar música, discos nous i vells, llibres, revistes, etc… una opció diferent per al cap de setmana, i sense haver de gastar molt.

Torre del XIX secolo in stile neomudéjar e pianta ottagonale che Arnau Mercader (conte di Bell-Lloc) ordinò di essere costruita molto vicino al suo palazzo per essere utilizzata come belvedere per uccelli e osservatorio astronomico. Di notte, illuminato, ha un aspetto molto speciale.
Sabato mattina, di fronte al mercato municipale, viene allestito un mercato in cui è possibile trovare musica, dischi vecchi e nuovi, libri, riviste, ecc … un’opzione diversa per il fine settimana e senza dover spendere molto.
