A gorg in Catalan is a puddle the neighbourhood of Badalona, where this stop is, is named after from an ancient puddle though. In the past, the river Besòs was divided into two branches: one came into this area creating puddles; the other,coming up in Poblenou, created the lagoons (llaunas), one of which will give the name to another neighborhood of Barcelona.
